There was a soul around here a while back asking for information on the TI ASC supercomputer. Well, I have some, but the original message has scrolled off and so I don't know who the requester was. If someone still knows who it was, could you either forward the following to him or send me the proper address. A discussion of the pipelined arithmetic in the ASC is found in: Hwang, Kai. (Purdue.) Computer Architecture: Principles, Architecture, and Design. John Wiley and Sons, 1979. p.382-386. The book references the following sources: Stephenson, C. "Control of a variable configuration pipelined arithmetic unit." Proceedings 11th Allerton Conference, October 1973. Watson, W.J., "The TI ASC - A highly modular and flexible super computer architecture," FJCC, 1972, pp.221-228. Watson, W.J. and Carr H.M., "Operational Experiences with the TI advanced computer," Proc. National Computer Conf., 1974, pp.389-977. -- =======================+========================================= Erik G Olson "There was virtue in the world before there was orthodoxy in it." ego@pawl.rpi.edu --The Independent Whig
