I have one of the original colour monitors for my 99/4 (annd 4a now). Has anyone figured out whether this monitor can be used for VGA, EGA or CGA on a PC? What resolution could it support? Tim MacEachern maceache@hawk.nstn.ns.ca

The original monitor sold with the TI 99/4 and TI 99/4A were made by Zenith and are just your basic composite monitor. If you try to use one with an IBM the most you will be able to getout of it is marginal CGA! You would get better use out of it hooking it up to a VCR or LASER DISK player if you are not going to use it with a TI machine.

Several graphics interfaces have a composite video plug on board. You should be able to use it with your TI-monitor. I have tested such a link with a RGB-monitor and a ATI-EGA card. I was able to use 320*200 and 640*200 res. Ton Damen hardware dept Dutch TI-usersgroup.
