[comp.sys.ti] TI PC: Speech Control System, any users out there ?

mathmyka@tpki.toppoint.de (Mathias Myka) (06/26/91)

Recently, I received a number of used TI Professional Computer (TI PC)
which I had bought from a dealer going out of business.
One of them contained a speech recognition board with accompanying
software. The board seems to be o.k., but the software obviously
only works under MS DOS 1.25.

Has there ever been a newer software release for MS DOS 2.11 ? If yes,
where can I get it ?

Thanks,

Mathias Myka

I don't use the TIPC anymore, but I used to support them on
TI's customer support line.

The last version of DOS for the TIPC that was released by TI was
2.13. There was a company (can't remember which one) that released
a version 3 of DOS for the TIPC.

Also, there were two speech boards made. The original was a brownish
or tannish color and the newer one was green.

You can get speech related information, programs, and files from
TI's bulletin board at 512-250-6112.
