Thanks for all the info, Blaine ... here's some more info (and a plea)!
I called the 800 number above last week, and got a "disconnect/not in
service" intercept. Trying 800 information did get me the new/current
800 number for Wico though (sorry, I don't have it with me).
Anyway, after talking to a couple of very pleasant receptionists, I
ended up talking to a fellow named Eugene. He gave me the bad news ...
alas, Wico has discontinued making the Trackball mentioned above (nor do
they have any other model of Trackball). He did say that this product
was originally for Commodore's and Atari's, which is why I'm cross-
posting this to those news.groups.
He suggested that I look on the shelves of various people who had at
one time distributed the product ... he mentioned "Best", "Federated
Somethingorother", and "Toys'R'Us".
I've tried several "Best" and "Toys'R'Us" stores here in the Bay Area,
but without success, so (here comes the plea), does anybody out there
in net.land have one of these Trackballs that they'd be willing to part
with. Or, does anybody know who might have one of these still in stock?
If so, please email me, or followup to comp.sys.amiga.
Thanks for any help!
/kim

The following list of Atari computer fairs is taken from the January
1987 issue of ANTIC. If you live near one of the locations, you can
probably get more information from a local users group.
February 21,22 Denver, Col. Regency Hotel
March 13-15 Allentown, PA Holiday Inn
April 4-6 Buffalo, NY
April 10,11 Salt Lake City, UT
May 8-10 Dallas, TX Dallas Infomart
May 15-17 Seattle, Wash Seattle Center Flag Pavilion
August 29,30 Detroit, MI Southfield Civic Center
In addition, initial plans are being laid for fairs in New York City, Boston,
St. Louis, metropolitan New Jersey and here in the Chicago-Milwaukee area
which will probably be in the fall of '87 as it looks now. ANTIC is now
publishing a regular column called "Users Group" and I will update the dates
and locations as they become available. In addition, ANTIC is going to
publish a profile of their "Users Group of the Month". If you know of a
deserving group (yours or any other), contact ANTIC magazine.
Lets do our share to see that these fairs are advertized and supported. Many
of the software companies support the fairs close to their home. If they see
there is plenty of support for the 8-bit computers as well as the ST computers,
they may be willing to convert more software for the 8-bit machines.
Happy Computing...
