Does anyone know of any 80 column word processors for the Atari 8-bits? I don't mean just a "preview" mode, but actual 80 column on-screen editing (achieved through a graphics 8 character set?). If there are any that exist, how good are they? Ray Wilmott wilmott@topaz.rutgers.edu

I have seen an 80 col word processor for the 8-bits advertised in Antic before... I think the program is called "Richman's Word Processor"... I regularly use a simulated "80-col" vt100 emulator... in fact I'm using it right now with vi to write this, and it is definitely liveable... I also have the Chameleon terminal emulator which scrolls... Chameleon is good, but for scanning text, it is a real pain to have to scroll horizontally... this simulated 80-columns is ok to read... obviously not sharp and crisp.. and often ambiguous, but you can figure things out from context... amazing the way the mind works...
