I just purchased my copy of Action. It looks fantastic. I understand that there is a way to run Action programs without the use of the cartridge. Does anyone know where I can purchase this tool and what the cost is? Also what is the story for the sale of programs written in Action, I can't find anything about it in the documentation. Thanx in advance, Rich Filandro Allied Linotype

I believe OSS sells an ACTION! runtime package for "developers". I don't know what they charge. Somebody posted an alternative package on the net awhile back. It basically assists you in making a backup copy of your own cartridge's built-in runtime library and patching it so it will run off the disk. This sounds like "fair use" to me, so I have forwarded a copy to you directly. If anybody reading the info-atari8 posting needs it, please feel free to ask. The file is 421 lines long so I thought it best to spare those who don't need it. -John Sangster jhs@mitre-bedford.arpa P.S. - I have also forwarded another useful ACTION! file which tells how to "chain" programs together in ACTION!.
