[comp.sys.atari.8bit] Solicitation for opinions on Disk Operating Systems

ericg@sco.UUCP (Eric Griswold) (01/23/87)

I've been using Atari DOS 2.5 for far too long and have started
to get annoyed with its menu-ness.

I would be interested in finding out what other command interpreters/DOS
systems are available and what people think of them.

Please mail me with opinions on systems, who makes them (PD/Commercial),
how much they cost and your experience with them.

I know that OSS makes some neat stuff. I am curious what else is out there.

I will summarize the responses to this newsgroup.

Hi:
I have been using a DOS called TOP-DOS for many years now, and I think that
there is not a single DOS that can stant up to what you can do with it. There
are two versions, number one is TOP-DOS 1.5+ and the other is TOP-DOS
professional. Each has it's own price. 1.5+ sells for 39.95 and the professional
sells for close to 100.00.
To many items in these DOS's to list here. You can get info about them by
sending a self address stamped envolope to:
		Eclipse Software
		1058 Marigold Ct.
		Sunnyvale, Calif. 94086
You can also give them a call at (408) 246-8325.

Disclaimer: I am not part of this company only a big fan of these products. I
would not use any of the others.
