I have an XM301 modem and I have had no luck using most BASIC programs because they require an 850-based or 835/1030 modem. I am now using 1030Express and I love it! But it is not compatible with my new Omniview 256. Omniterm (which came with my O-256) will not work with my XM301. I would like to also get a copy of a BBS program (like AMIS) that also works with my XM301. I have so many versions of Amodem and R:handlers (and appended versions) that I can no longer distinguish between them. I am one of the first people in my Users Group that got an XM301 so I am breaking new ground.... I would like to trade disks with someone who can help me out. Strictly speaking, your XM301 is not incompatible with OMNIVIEW256 per se, nor with OmniCom, but rather you may need a different RS-232 handler than the one you are using. I am sure David Young (owner of CDY and author of OMNIVIEW and OmniCom) will be most willing to help you in finding a solution. -John Sangster
