From imprint Mon Feb 2 23:32:38 1987 To: /u/imprint/atari HELP!!! My 1050 disk drive is returning ERROR #139 (Device NAK) with every attempt to write. This problem only began recently, and is somewhat intermittant. Anybody got any idea on what might fix it? Help much appreciated. Summary:Problem solved Thanks to all who responded to my plea for help. The problem turned out to be with the mechanism (L.E.D. I think) which tests to see if the floppy is write-protected. It was dirty! Cleaning it has the drive happily writing disks again. Thanks again Doug Thompson imprint@watmath.uucp (University of Waterloo Student Newspaper)
