There are currently 2 Atari user groups in the Kitchener-Waterloo area. Both consist of 8-bit and 16-bit enthusiasts (20 to 40 people each meeting), meet monthly, have special interest groups (SIGs), associated bulletin boards and public domain libraries. They are called GTIA (Get Together for Information on Atari) and Vector II. I am currently vice-president of GTIA and room-coordinator for Vector II, so I should be able to handle most questions or get replies from the rest of executive. I am also currently giving Basic tutorials, hosting the 8-bit Machine Language SIG, will be giving a demo of Action! (language & compiler for 8-bits) at the next GTIA meeting, and hopefully starting Action! tutorials and/or SIG afterwards. Both groups welcome new members and visitors with 8-bits, 16-bits, or those just curious.
