[net.wanted] uucp on CPM yuk?

smh@mit-eddi.UUCP (Steven M. Haflich) (07/01/83)

This subject has probably appeared on the net before, but was too
ugly for me to remember. Anyway, a colleague from another university
has a student who wants to implement the uucp system on cpm as a
project. Assuming one has a cpm-running machine with a valid Unix
license (?!?), it shouldn't be that impossible to port the code.
Question: Has anyone ever heard of this being done before?

Please no flames. I consider cpm its own punishment.

It would be very helpful if CP/M could handle file names such as

30 6,22 * * * * /bin/su uucp -c "/bin/touch /usr/spool/uucp/C.sequeln0000"

where sequal could be 8 characters ...
