I don't have a copy of the compiler for the 800 but only for the XL/XE. Does anyone else on the net have any info on an 800 version? I don't know anything about the copyright on any of this software. It was claimed to be Public Domain, but there is a copyright notice saying the program belongs to "Happy Computers". I have heard nothing about this from anywhere but the title screen. Has anyone heard anything to conflict with the Public Domain status of Turbo BASIC? -John Sangster / jhs@mitre-bedford.arpa

In a recent message, jhs asked about urbo Basic-800. This is what I know: Turbo Basic-800 -does- exist. Unfortunately, it is not very widely distributed, as opposed to Turbo Basic XL. The Happy Computer message refers to the developers of the program --- all Turbo modules are totally P/D. [By the way, I know a local Bulletin Board that has Turbo Basic 800, but the SysOp -doesn't want- to put it up!! :-( ] As for ARC and ARCX, all I can say is to try the Translator. ----Sascha -- Sascha Segan {allegra,philabs,cmcl2}!phri\ Big Electric Cat Public Unix {bellcore,harpo,cmcl2}!cucard!dasys1!ssegan New York, NY, USA {philabs}!tg/
