The good news is that my post of Kermit-65 got out to the world intact, and seems to be going over pretty well. The bad news is that a couple of bugs (one quite serious; binary mode transfers are busted) have already surfaced. The question of the day: What's a happy medium between getting these bugs fixed in a timely fashion (desirable) and bombarding the net with 100K postings (not desirable)? I think my preference would be to wait a while before posting a revised version, in order to really get some things fixed. Assuming the concensus agrees, but some of you out there really need to get that binary bug fixed for the thing to be usable, I'd be willing to ship individual copies to people on request. As usual, any feedback is welcome.
