My mail message to you got bounced back to me again so I presume you didn't receive it. If you've run out if ideas, that's OK, so have I. I guess I'll buy a new one or get it fixed. Anyway here was my message: Thanks for your latest recommendations. Here are the results of my latest disk drive inspection: The drive was made by Northland Corp. The belt looks like it's intact and in place. The spindle doesn't turn after the head resets. The busy light comes on for about 5-6 seconds after I put a disk in and close the latch. Then it goes out. However the disk spindle doesn't turn. I turned connector J10 around. Besides the fact it no longer lined up with the other connectors, the head resetting sounded kind of sick so I put it back the way it was. There doesn't appear to be any wires under the metal shield around the LSI chips. How likely would it be that the motor is dead? Or a ROM? I'm still trying. Thanks for the help. Rick By the way.
