Gentlemen,
For those of you playing Phantasie by SSI, I may have some advice which
will save you considerable headache near endgame.
To begin with, you *MUST* have at least rev 1.3 of the software. If you
find yourself in the Astral Plane in the frame below Olympus and can't get
into the dungeon there, take a look at the River Styx. Does it go all the
way across the screen from left to right? On my Atari, it only went halfway
and I scooted around the left hand side direct to the dungeon I could see.
Unfortunately, you *MUST* cross the river via the Boatsman Charon in order
to get into said dungeon. Otherwise the game will hang with no chance for
recovery.
After many conservations with Bonnie at SSI (and sending my disks back
four times), I finally got something that worked. You can fix this yourself
if you have rev 1.3 by backing up your characters to another disk via the
normal method provided. The only catch is when it asks for disk #4, insert
the ORIGINAL, not your play disk. This resets all the map info you've gained
throughout the game, but is a small price to pay to finish it off.

On a separate issue, does anyone have any games they have finished that
you might be willing to sell (originals only please)? If so, drop me a list
