Could anyone give me some information about MIDI options for the
8-bit Ataris, if there are any, specifically the old 800?

     Thanks,

Subject: Atari XF551 Disk Drive

As usual, I've been out of it for a while. Could I get some information
on the Atari XF551 Disk Drive? Is is really 360K? Is it compatible
with true double density (i.e. OSS DOS XL, provided with the Indus GT
drives, at least when I bought mine)? Single sided I'll assume.

Please respond by mail as I don't/can't read the list from where I am.
Thanks very much.

greetings...

A friend of mine has an Atari 800, which we are trying to use to
access our local VAXCluster. We are in need of some way of hanging
an RS232 port off this machine.
Is there somewhere that still sells 850's? As an alternative, as
money is scarce, can we purcahse a add-on that provides just the R:
device?
Does anyone have schematics for a quick-n-easy project to provide
an RS232 port?
  Any help would be appreciated.

Please respond directly to me, as I am not subscribed to this
discussion...
