Well, some general comments that I kept meaning to make, but never took the time. Here goes a little of everything: SX212: It is a real champ of a modem. I have had one perform flawlessly for four months. I had bought from the last modem from the first shipment of SX212 to our local dealer, and it was not a champ. Really noisy.... A friend of mine had also bought a SX212 and had the same problem with noise. I was pretty mad, and I took it back. The dealer exchanged the modem, and the wait was worth it. I think that I just had a fluke, but my friend did too, so you may want to watch out for early 212's. I wouldn't let that stop anyone from buying one, because they are really awesome modems, and the one I have now is doing pretty good.... XEP80: I have one of these suckers, but all it does is collect dust. What software is out there that works with the thing? I have something like Amodem 4.2 that works in 80 column, but Xmodem only works at 300bps, so it is not that hot of term program, esp. compared to Express. Does anyone know if a VT100 emulator exsists for the xep80? Does anyone know if any software period exsists for the xep80? Where can I get a list of it? Where is a BBS with software for it? Ultima V: Does anyone know the latest on this game? I want my Ultima!!!! APAC: What is the general opinion of Analog's APAC (Any Point, Any Color) program? It works okay, but I tried some stuff with it in BASIC, and it was really slow. I downloaded it off of GEnie, so I don't have the magazine. Does the source code appear in the mag? I am trying to write some mac/65 macros for it, but I lack some vital details, and I must be missing something here.... Any help on the subject is appreciated.... MAC/65: Does anyone want to share some macros out there? I am a junkie when it comes to this sort of thing, and I don't have alot of mac/65 macros in my library. Specifically, I would like to see a mac/65 macro for processing SpartaDOS parameters. Anyone know where some are? I am sure that I have not got everything I meant to, so I'll probably be back with another long one soon.... Never heard of this APAC (Any Point, Any Color) program; I'd like to see it. I'm told that things from magazines can be posted here, IF proper credit is given to the source; "all you're doing is saving us from typing it in," was the exact phrase of my source...
