I saw a posting about this on Delphi this week, and thought that it may greatly interest the Atari 8-bit user community: Merrill Ward and Associates, of Palm Springs CA says that they will introduce the "Graphic Operating Environment", a GEM-like program for the 8-bits at the June CES. It will be sold as a supercartridge, and will work with a ST mouse, joystick, or just the keyboard. It will include "the operating system,"[?] a word processor, drawing program, printer drivers, an icon editor, and a number of fonts. Discussions are underway with Atari about bundling GOE with XE machines. A demo version can be obtained on disk by sending $5.00 to: Merrill Ward and Associates 255 North El Cielo Rd. Suite 222 Palm Springs, CA 92262 If anyone out there is going to CES, please let the rest of us know if this thing is really shown, and how it looks.
