I recently bought a P-R connection to use with an AT&T 4000 modem I had lying around. Unfortunately, when I fire it up with my brand new 130XE (new to me anyway, I don't know how long it's been in the box at the dealers) I get the diagnostic "turn on the 850". This also happens sometimes but not always when I use the machine with my original 800XL. It appears the P-R Connection is not talking to the 130XE politely enough. Can anyone make a suggestion? Also, when I went for the 130XE I also ordered an upgrade of Syncalc as I understood the later version would use the expanded memory. Unfortunately, the new discs show the initial trademark but will not load the program. Any help here? Thanks, Dick Rickert AT&T INDY -- Dick Rickert AT&T Consumer Products Laboratory

Dick, Have you tryed puting the P-R Connection in line first ? as for Syncalc on the 130xe try typeing "key off" before loading the program. hope that helps. Greg Parsons
