I've been having trouble successfully downloading 8-bit files since I began using PC Pursuit. It doesn't seem to matter what transfer protocol I use. 80-90% of the time, the transfer will apparently go just fine, but the program only half-loads then crashes, or doesn't work at all. Local DLs work just fine. I'm using Amodem 7.5 and a 300bps modem. Anyone know anything about this?? Bob Zimbinski

There is trouble with downloading on PCP to commercial networks (Compu$erve, DELPHI) as well. Apparantly PCP's packet switching does something funny when your packet sizes are larger than its. Timeouts occur freqently. I haven't heard of download being complete but incorrect unless you have a bad download program. I use 850 Express! (shareware) and I haven't had any XMODEM downloads which completed normally but wrere incorrect. Arthur L.
