Hit 'n' now unless your name is in the header OR you want my US Mailing
address for some bizarre reason...
Forgive me for putting all of this in one message, but I wanted to mini-
mize the personal traffic in the public area.
1) Jean -
Did you get either of the two e-mail messages I sent you in reply to
your "please clarify" comments about SIO and emulating the 850? One
was my general comments, another was an old article I'd discovered from
someone who, while working at Atari, "homegrew" and is still using today
a serial interface box that outperforms the 850...
Please let me know if you got them; the mailer at Sun sent them back
saying it would "keep trying for several days" after it was unable to
find a machine named 'vedge' between you and myself.
2) Gil -
Glad to hear that you got, at long last, the information about
file-transfer, null-modem cables, et al! What a relief!
Am fascinated with the idea of you coming to Rochester; hope I
haven't MISSED it. Give me a call when you're here, if you can --
and/or try to let me know IN ADVANCE when you're GOING to be here.
(See my address/phone below, in Tom M's section!)
3) Tom -
I was a bit disturbed to recently receive a second copy of your
message explaining how you misplaced my address after our original
phone conversation; I had answered your FIRST copy of that message,
with email, several weeks/months? earlier, and since it DIDN'T BOUNCE
I sort of assumed you GOT it. I guess it went to Limbo instead.
I also called your "work" phone number and left a message on whatever
passes for your "answering machine" -- did you get that?
And, regardless of whether you got the info, we're sort of running
into yet another complication: I am moving to an apartment, the address
I gave you is still going to be my PARENTS' address, but they are going
to be away for a few days as of Thursday, May 4th. If you don't get
the book here by THEN, you'll have to wait til about the 10th before you
have a chance at successful C.O.D. delivery. (The apartment address
isn't even worth trying -- neither I nor my roommate/girlfriend ;-) will
be there during the day, and the landlord would just be confused; I'm
tempted to give you my WORK address and have you send it THERE. Aw,
what the heck, I'll give you ALL my addresses!)
Home, til 5/1 (and my parents' thereafter):
15 Leland Road
Rochester, NY 14617
Apartment, after 5/1:
509 Shelford Rd.
Rochester, NY 14609
Work, any dang time at all:
LVT
100 King's Highway
Suite 1400
Rochester, NY 14617
Yes, that's right, my work and parents' house are both in the same zip code.
I live CLOSE to work. Or, rather, I work close to home.
If you want phone numbers:
parents': (716) 544-5188
mine (til 5/1): (716) 342-5914 (new # after 5/1, as yet unknown)
work (receptionist): (716) 724-1111
THAT should fix ANYBODY who wants to reach me. Amen.
