[comp.sys.atari.8bit] Indus Info Wanted

syzy@vax5.CIT.CORNELL.EDU (04/24/89)

I have an Indus GT for the atari 8-bits which is in need of repair (the belt
which links the motor to the mechanism turning the disk needs to be replaced).

Unfortunately, I have lost track of Indus since I bought the drive about 3
years ago (do they still exist?) and have no current address or phone number.
Can someone either send me the current address/phone # of Indus or recommend
a good place within New York City that does repairs? Thanks.

I don't think they are still around. However, things are not as bad as you
might think: The drive mechanism in the Indus is almost identical to the
one in the 1050 (made by Tandon), so anyone who repairs Atari disks
should be able to help you.

If you should decide to punt, let me know. I am looking for a dead Indus
drive.
