[comp.sys.atari.8bit] Sparta Dos X

General ruminations on the new SDX cart from ICD:

Despite initial hestitation, I ordered it from ICD about a week
ago, and received my cart about four days after the order was placed.
Well-deserved praise goes to the shipping department for filling the order
promptly (and correctly).

Remember all the lame excuses you used to offer before you didn't
have to offer them? For example, before I got my first disk drive, I used
to say "Why go to disk? The cassette is cheaper, albeit slower, but it
still works." Then I finally went to a disk drive, and chucked that little
410. I said the same thing about two disk drives (eg = "Who needs two when
one does the job just fine?"), but after I got my second drive, I changed
my tune again. Same story with RAM expansion. And, you guessed it, the
exact same thing has happened with SDX.

It is so nice to have all it all on ROM! Now I have greater control
over my extra ram and my Indus. I've been using it for just a little while,
but I'm sold. If you can afford it, you can't afford to be without it.
It just isn't the same!

I'd be happy to answer what questions I can on SDX, but I'm not
the real expert. I have seen a few names on GEnie that are also around
here, and I'm sure somebody can come up with an answer....
