[comp.sys.atari.8bit] Wanted

34TYJPF@CMUVM.BITNET (Chris Carden) (04/14/89)

If anybody has the object code to Eastern Front (the old APX file), could
you send it?

Also, I am looking for the code for the Antic program that ran their home-
brew audio digitizer (from the article, "Talk is Cheap", way back when). I
do not seem to have a working version of that program.

Hi all,

I am looking for any information that could help me locate
a couple of items..

First, I guess I should tell everyone about my setup here.
I have an Atari 130XE (not expanded), two 1050 disk drives, an SX212 modem,
and an Okimate 10 color printer. Then, I have a Commodore 128 with a
1571 disk drive and an RS232 handler so it can use the SX212.

WARNING!! The following is just my opinion...the real reason I am posting
follows this..
................................................................................
(It's (the 128) really
just a game machine for me since noone ever learned how to use the Atari's
graphics and sounds for games...such as the Ultima series. The atari is
for things like school work, communications, and high speed games, ie: Flight
Simulators [The Commodores may have easy to display colors and such, but
they are really quite slow!] You may ask why I hooked the Commodore up to my
modem when I use the Atari for communications, well it's because the
vt100 emulator allows color changes....I'm tired of a white screen on the
Kermit vt100 emulator...plus it has Xmodem, and now that I have a Unix
xmodem I can transfer files much faster from school to home...)
................................................................................

Anyway what I want is:

1) A monitor, especially a Commodore 1902 monitor.
I want to hook up the Atari and the C128 to it, using the
Composite part for the Atari and the C128, and the RGB part for the 128's
    80 column mode...
This I need as soon as possible!
If you know of another monitor that handles both Composite and
RGB in color get in touch with me!

2) A printer that can handle both the C128 and the Atari, more than likely
using RS232, and is VERY fast, not too bad on letter quality and
programmable for graphics. If you know of any printers that can
do even part of this, contact me.

To reply, feel free to just Followup, as carina isn't handling email
correctly yet...

			Thanks a bunch,
