---------- Back in July I heard about a program to view ST Degas picture files on the Atari 8-bit. 2 weeks ago I got a copy of APAC and ILBMREAD, which allow you to view and convert Amiga IFF and HAM format picture files to full color, 8-bit-viewable pictures (and I must say I was rather impressed. The "zoom-in" feature is particularly nice). And so, as I sat at work today noticing my folder full of pictures on my Mac, I wondered..... Does anyone know of a program out there that allows the viewing of Mac format picture files on the 8-bit? (specifically TIFF and/or RIFF format pictures; though Paint format would be better than nothing) Any info much appreciated... -Ray wilmott@topaz.rutgers.edu

Ray: A MAC picture viewer does exist; I found it on GEnie's Atari 8-bit library. It is written in compiled turbo basic, and only works on uncompressed MAC pictures of a certain format. I am the author of ILBMREAD (thanks for your comments). If you could locate the format description of the MAC TIFF, RIFF, or Paint files, I would make an attempt at a picture viewer. Jeff P.
