[net.wanted] Date parsing subroutines?

	Does anyone out there have a good set of date parsing
routines?  Hopefully written in C, although that's not mandatory.
I'm looking for subroutines to parse any one of a variety of date
formats into a binary representation (hopefully ala UNIX - seconds
from Jan. 1, 1970, although some other form might work), and to
turn the binary format back into something reasonable (ala ctime()).

Look at the getdate.y routine which comes with USENET.
It works quite nicely.
