I am an atari 800 XL user and would like to be able to use the several
of the available term and file transfer programs that are available, especially
kermit. Through ftp I have kermit-65 but it seems that I need a driver to run these
programs, even though I have a direct connect XM301. From terminator's
documents I thought that SMARTT would do the trick, but DOS 2.5 says that I
"NEED MEM.SAV TO RUN THIS PROGRAM". When I create MEM.SAV, it goes through all the
comotion and then returns me to DOS without having gained anything. I have no RS232
port or driver and have tried eveything to my knowledge to get it to work, but with
no luck. Can anyone help me with this or recommend something. It will be greatly
appreciated!
