The following is from "The Business Journal", p. 28, for the Week of January 8, 1990. "Atari Corp. of Sunnyvale suffered a third-quarter net loss of $5.4 million, or 9 cents per share, on net sales of $81.44 million. During the third quarter of the year before, the company earned $900,000, or 2 cents per share, on on net sales of $98.8 million. "For the nine-month period ended Sept 30, Atari had a net loss of $1.78 million, or 3 cents per share, on net sales of $252.96 million. It earned $12.14 million, or 21 cents per share, on net sales of $299.64 million during the comparable period for the previous year."
