I know my 810 drive is 8 years old, but still....! ;) Yesterday started as a normal day, I fired up the ol'e 810. The light came on same as usual; it grinded its gears, whirred and stopped. I powered up the 130XE and it purred...and purred...and loaded up self-test! :O So I checked the cable, turned off the machine, turned it back on and... self-test. Then I replaced the cable with a 6 month old cable. Same thing: self-test. If anyone has a clue of what is wrong, and a CHEAP way to fix it, I'd appreciate suggestions. Else...maybe I could turn it into a lamp....
