Hello, I am planning to hook up a Hayes compatible modem to my 800XL. However, I do not know what the pinouts are for the serial port on the interface I am using (it's the 850 or the 825, I forgot; the old interface that came out along with the 400/800 line). If anyone has the documentation for the interface, or knows what the pinouts are, I would greatly appreciate your help. Thanx.

here's the pinout on the 850 interface port 1: pin 1 DTR pin 2 carrier detect pin 3 send data (out) pin 4 receive data (in) pin 5 ground pin 6 DSR pin 7 RTS pin 8 CTS pin 9 nc? I usually use only pins 2, 3, and 5, and use Xon Xoff. ----------------------------------------------------------- Did you know? That when you buy something "made in China", something like half the money you pay goes to the Chinese government. The same government that did Tiananmen Square last June. Don't think I'd want to give them any money, not after that. Don't worry about putting workers over there out of work, they get paid even if there's nothing to do. Or so I've heard.
