back in terms of soon to acquire a 130xe and get back into this line of computers again (it was the one i started on). but, having been away for 4 years, i don't know what the current Good Things (tm) are any more. so i would appreciate any suggestions for what a good disk drive would be (including any possible upgrades), upgrades for memory, opinions on the newell products (specifically the ones that will fit in a 130xe), and most any other hardware (firmware) type things. i'm pretty well set for the software end (i've got those mac65 and action! carts around here somewhere...). any modifications that you've come up with yourselves would be good also, i am looking into finding a way to add a bunch of i/o lines for a variety of projects i have and anything you may have done could be useful. and what are the various merits of the various forms of dos? speed, bugginess, compatibility, expandability(?), usefullness whilst programming? lots and lots of questions, hopefully lots and lots of answers. waitingly, david... ...!microsoft!davidfe
