Hello, I have been using both bobterm and chameleon as terminal programs to transfer files with...but I have a question Chameleon uses kermit protocol and I know when to use binary vs. text mode when transferring files BUT Bobterm has the ascii <--> atascii translation...can anyone tell me when I should use this feature...I read the doc but I still was lost. I like the 1k-transfer of bobterm but I find it kinda touchy and a little unreliable..but then again I can't get k-65 to work either! I hope that this will be the problem... Please let me know either here or at mail address below. RE: using ASCII -> ATASCII in BOBTERM You use this when you are transferring TEXT files but using X or Y or F -modem instead of CAPTURE. Do not use it when transferring binary files. You should not be having any problems with 1k-xmodem. If you are having problems getting it to work correctly then try rereading the docs, if you are getting a lot of bad blocks then your telephone line is noisy. Charles_Hughes@cup.portal.com
