------ Help given : ------------ Just when you thought there was no more software for the Atari 8-bits to be found, I've found a European source of software which offers many titles never released in the U.S. The place to write for a free listing of available software is: Miles Better Software 219/221 Cannock Road Chadsmoor, WS11 2DD England I know advertisements are usually frowned upon on the net, but with the serious lack of any new 8-bit software, I figured many out there would appreciate this info. Help wanted : ------------- I ordered 6 games from the above company. 4 work perfectly. 1 works, but crashes now and then (Joe Blade), and 1 doesn't seem to work (Rampage). [Rampage boots up, but ignores any joystick input...you can't control the monsters]. My guess is that the difference between the clock speed of European machines and US machines is to blame for the seeming incompatibility. Anybody else out there agree or disagree? Is there anybody out there who is still into hacking the 8-bit and would like to play around with "Rampage" to see if they can cure it? If differences between European and US machines is to blame, I suppose you are taking a risk when ordering from overseas. Then again, the prices are so reasonable (nearly all games are priced from $3.00-$20.00) that the risk is minimal. Hope this info was of help to someone out there (and also hope maybe someone can help me out :-) -Ray wilmott@topaz.rutgers.edu
