Hello all Atari 8-bit people: This is a thank you and a recap note. I posted a note asking about an RS-232 to Atari interface, and got lots of good responses. What I ended up doing is buying an interface from someone on the net. It wasn't the ICD PR connection or the Atari 850. I had to modify my 1200XL so that pin 10 on the Atari connector would supply enough current: Short R63 on the 1200XL PCBoard. Also, I did the video modification suggested earlier: Originally Change to R22 4.3K 6.2K R188 910 ohm 1N914 diode with cathode towards bridge rectifier R163 100 ohm 150 ohm R145 n/c 18K ohms The video is a bit better, but it's not a huge improvement (it wasn't too bad to begin with) Everything works, and better than before.
