Hello all Atari 8-bit people:
This is a thank you and a recap note.
I posted a note asking about an RS-232 to Atari interface, and got lots
of good responses. What I ended up doing is buying an interface from
someone on the net. It wasn't the ICD PR connection or the Atari 850.
I had to modify my 1200XL so that pin 10 on the Atari connector would
supply enough current: Short R63 on the 1200XL PCBoard.
Also, I did the video modification suggested earlier:
Originally Change to
R22 4.3K 6.2K
R188 910 ohm 1N914 diode with cathode towards
bridge rectifier
R163 100 ohm 150 ohm
R145 n/c 18K ohms
The video is a bit better, but it's not a huge improvement (it wasn't
too bad to begin with)
