For those who are interested.... I installed a Transkey board in my 130XE, and am using it at this very moment to type ths message. It installed easily, and works quite nicely. (well, once I found a keyboard it liked :) Yes, there are problems with typing quickly, though it's inconsistent-- sometimes there are problems, sometimes not. I'd recommend it as is, and I'd definitely recommend it if the bug is worked out (there's an upgrade socket on the board, and it is set up with an EEPROM. Heck-- you could easily write your own OS for the Transkey board and fix the bug yourself.) The docs are complete and easy to follow, and there are even instructions for burning your own EEPROM with different macros. I'll end this rambling now.... Direct questions to comp.sys.atari.8bit, or to me..... -Roy Wood
