[comp.sys.atari.8bit] Monitors for the 8bit

cfleck@SRC.Honeywell.COM (Chuck Fleckentein) (02/05/91)

Can a standard PC monitor be connected to an 800XL ?
If so, describe how and how much ?

If not, I am looking for a color monitor to connect to an 800XL.
I want to be able to utilize 80 columns via XEP80 or software.

Thanks

Chuck

I believe there is a hardware hack to get a TTL monitor output from the
XEP80. You might want to look into it. As for 80 columns via software, you
are probably better off going with monochrome. A good Chroma/Luma split
monitor (e.g. Commie 1702) works fairly well. I don't have the XEP80, so I
can't comment on it.
