[comp.sys.atari.8bit] stab from the past

turner@ICS.UCI.EDU (Clark Savage Turner - WA3JPG) (03/10/91)

Greetings:

I just got surprised last week by my x-wife who sent me my old 800XL and
Rana drive (less some cables and any documentation....) I haven't played
on anything less than my Sun4 at work in as much time, but feel excited
to have it back, and want to do stuff with it.

Here's my general question: What are the sources for Atari 8 bit stuff?
Can I pick up a magazine with all the ads in the back and get a good list?

I don't want to take up any more bandwidth than I need to, so replies should
probably be direct.

Clark

I too am interested in programs for the 8 bit.
Is there an archive site somewhere with 8 bit programs??
How about any companies that still sell soft/hard ware?

The Atari 8 bit archive is at Umich you can ftp atari.archive.umich.edu
or send mail to atari@atari.archive.umich.edu
In your mail put "Send Help" by itself on one line and it will send you the help
file.

	Hi DJ,
You asked about companies that still support the Atari 8-bit.
I just got a catalog in the mail I had not seen before, you may want to write
to them and request a catalog for yourself.

	Sagamore Software
	2104 Arapahoe Dr.
	Lafayette, IN 47905

There was no telephone number listed. I hope this helps. Bye.....
