[comp.sys.atari.8bit] IBM keyboards can be used on 8-bit Atari computers.

(I tried to reply by mail, but it bounced. Since this is of general interest
anyway, I am posting it, minus extraneous mailer output - Nick DiMasi)

Depends on how much an arm & a leg are worth :-) The TransKey board,
which is the interface between the IBM keyboard and the 8-bit Atari,
costs under $50 (in fact it's on sale now). It's available from
DataQue (maker of the Turbo-816 board and other stuff for the 8-bit
Atari - if you want the address & tel. #, send me mail and I'll look
it up at home. DataQue acquired TransKey from Micro Solutions, and
has posted notices on the online services, etc.). IBM keyboards can be
had for cheap (I've seen somewhere, an article saying that they can be
found for as little as $25, but I don't know for sure), so maybe you
could swing it.

Thanks for the info.
I can be reached on Delphi as ASGARDIAN..
I heard that he was going to look into buying the ICD line too.
Is that true?
