[net.music] Bowie, Dr Death, & net etiquette

"We should all act like adults here, not junior highs. I have not heard
the album in question here -- whether or not it is worth listening to is
not the point. Maybe it's time for a net.music.d (like in net.jokes),
    or better yet, net.music.sucks . :-)

It amazes me. In a discussion of rock n roll we are supposed to behave
like adults? To my mind anyone over 17 who ventures an opinion about
rock is looking for trouble. I'd rather hear Death's puke jokes than
wade through screenful after screenful of Genesis cult info and
histories of Bowie that ought to be basic knowledge to anyone who cares.
(Doesn't anyone read Trouser Press?). I certainly don't read net.music
to get an eyeful of some jerk's whining about some trivial complaint
that he finds offensive.

P.S.
I don't know how anyone can forgive Bowie for wrecking China Girl.
