I'm looking for information about the hardware and/or firmware configuration of the lisa. I have the uncompleted, and poor, hardware manual that was given out by apple to all who asked for it, but there's some vital information missing. I have a binary license of Unisoft's implementation of Unix system V running on my lisa, and want to add parallel printer support. The way I'm trying to get there is to disassemble the existing corvus disk- drive driver, and use the information gleaned from that to write my simple printer driver. Then, I'll use /dev/mem to overwrite the corvus driver before I print. I was doing fine, until I ran into an access (... many accesses) to 0xFA0000. This is apparently the base address of a bank of hardware control registers, but it's not mentioned anywhere in the aforementioned manual that I have. Any help, knowledge, or suggestions will be greatly appreciated... I wonder if there are any lisa/system V users out there who'd like to form a users group? Thomas Mellman ...ihnp4!ttrdc!ttrdd!mellman
