[comp.sys.m68k] Mvme147 won't talk to Exabyte

	I am operating an mvme147 microcomp. running Unix System V
Release 3.1 and am not able to get an exabyte exb-8200 tape drive working
properly.
	When I try the /etc/tapectl command with various options and 
various device files which have been recommended to me by the local
Motorola rep, I get no response from the Exabyte drive.
	Any suggestions?
