I'm having some difficulty in connecting a Motorola MVME135 board (MC68020 at 16.77 MHz) to a Hewlett Packard 64000 20Mhz 68020 Logic Analyzer. When running out of ROM, timing traces work just fine. When running out of RAM, the 680x0 DSACKx status lines as sampled by the analyzer are invalid. It seems to be a timing problem associated with the DSACKx lines. The clock is generated by the target at 16.77 MHz. The HP inserts a PLA in the DSACKx lines' path, which introduces a delay. By disabling the PLA, the timing problem goes away, and traces work just fine. Unfortunately, disabling the PLA also disables all emulation functions of the HP. Not good. Has anybody had success in connecting either a MVME135 or MVME133 to the HP64000? If so, I'd appreciate hearing from you!
