Hi Gang, Here's the update I promised. [I've lost some addresses so I'm posting it.] My PT68K4 came to life last Thursday night. (running from the SRAM) The only problem was the default monitor, MONK, refused to boot. I was lucky to have a copy of the HUMBUG monitor ... which booted like champ. HUMBUG was used in the original Radio & Electronics articles in '87. I strongly suggest getting a copy of HUMBUG and the reprints. I'll try MONK tonight now that I have the first 512K of DRAM installed. The kit was cheap ... and it showed in places. The motherboard was a 4-layer XT size board with a good/tight layout. However, the kits were packed in newspapers (hmmm) and the chips were in zip lock bags. (Lots of bent pins!) What do you want for $189 w/ a 16Mhz 68000 ... but I'd pay a little more to see static mat and chip tubes. Thanks to everyone who sent info on 68030 piggy back boards. After I finish the ISA bus and floppy interface, I'll try the '030 upgrade. More later ... Brian
