I am having problems implementing the tas (test-and-set) instruction on multi-processor unix machines (Motorola DELTA, Nixdorf Targon31, etc.). If I make the machine run single processor, everything works fine, but this is clearly not a solution for our customers. The main question I am asking is "Am I missing something here ?" This problem only seems to exist on multi processor machines with 68030, and not on 68010 or 68020. Could some kind soul please point me in the right direction?
