This caught me without my references here but....

I have found at least one source for books on Tesla and his works in
the (SF) bay area. Please write or call...

    Pauline Grosch c/o
    Antiquus Bibliopole
    4147 - 24th St.
    San Francisco, Ca. 94114

They have some 10 or 12 titles including

The "Colorado Springs Notes" by Tesla	(best info on his coils)
Tesla Biblography (list of ALL publications and writings)
"And in creating, live", autobio by Tesla
"My Inventions", autobio by Tesla (tells how to build a simple coil)
	"Lighting in his hands" bio
"Complete Tesla patents" in two volumes
	"Selected patent wrappers"

	and several other selections...

Please ask them for help as they are very much interest in Tesla and his
works. All books except the "Colorado Springs Notes" are under $20 which
runs about $35. (hardcover only)

After reading some of these it is interesting to note that Tesla invented and
had the basic patents on:

	* AC synchronous motor (first!!! put Westinghouse on the map)
	* Radio (US Supreme court says Marconii (sp) was later)
	* Electronic AND gate
	* Remote (radio) controled boats and subs (and in the 1890's !!!)
	* VTOL aircraft (no model filed but design was there)
	* Oil bath capacitor and transformer
	* and of course the Magnifying Transmiter.

The list covers several hundred patents and shut everyone else out in
basic electric for years. This is must reading for anyone interested in
early radio. Forget Edison who did less real work, had a staff (who never
got any credit) to do the work and a better PR man!!!

Anyone wishing more information is welecome to contact me.
