From sci.electronics, we have this: |In article <4@chasefrs.UUCP> saul@chasefrs.UUCP (Saul Goldfisher) writes: |>I am trying to build a homemade battery for my daughter's science project |>using multiple lemons with copper and aluminum plates. After connecting |>12 lemons I can get 2.2 volts but not enough amperage to light a 1.2v |>2.2 mA bulb. Any suggestions on how to improve the amperage output? |> |>Saul Goldfisher (212)-676-0851 | |It sounds like you're going to have to put more fruit in parallel with |what you've got now! And now this from rec.food.cooking: In article <6291@aero.ARPA> mcguire@aero.UUCP (Rod McGuire) writes: >Friends just gave me 30 lemons from their tree, each one larger than a >navel orange and some the size of grapefruits. Knowing I like to cook, they >expect me to do something fantastic with these (or at least use them up). >I've checked Rombauer&Rombauer but all they give is recipies involving 3 tbsp >of juice (= 1/4 of a big one). What can I do? > >Me and my lemons are eagerly awaiting solutions. > > Rod McGuire mcguire@aero.org.arpa, hplabs!scdrdcf!trwb!aero!mcguire Saul, meet Rod. Rod, meet Saul. Seriously, there was a recipe here several months back for a lemon pie made from sliced lemons. If no one else has it handy, I'll dig it up after a few days and post it.
