[sci.electronics] Need information on Flow Corp. anemometer

larry@kitty.UUCP (03/03/87)

I realize that the following request is a real shot-in-the-dark,
but this is desperation time... :-)
Does anyone know if another company acquired Flow Corp., formerly
located in Arlington, Mass.? The company manufacturered hot-wire anemometers
and other process instrumentation.
I'm trying to resurrect a chemical pilot plant which contains
several hot-wire anemometers made by Flow Corp. I am having trouble with
the anemometer instrumentation, and have no manual. No one with whom I have
spoken has any idea if Flow Corp. was acquired by another company, or just
simply bit the dust.
While I can buy new air flow instruments, the cost will be several
$ K. I believe that I can save this cost if I just had the schematic and
calibration procedure for the Flow Corp. instrumentation; the actual sensing
elements are good and I have spares - it's the signal conditioning circuitry
which has troubles.
	Thanks for any help!
