[sci.electronics] Thermal generator available

sdp@omssw1.UUCP (04/15/87)

Since thermal generators were discussed here a while back, I thought this
would be of general interest.

In the spring/summer '87 EXETERS catalog (of yuppie toys and things)
on page 7 is a termal generator from a company called OVONIC. It puts
out 6 watts at 12v. There may be other voltage settings (with higher
current I assume). It's a black box with a handle on top and two lights.
One light says it's hot enough, the other says its too hot. It goes
for $129. You can buy a lot of batteries for that.

the generator is item number OV#001

I don't know anything about EXETERS. My girlfriend's dad is a mailman.
He gets lots of interesting catalogs.
