Does anyone know of any devices that would interface television closed-captioning to computer? I think it would be fun to have transcripts of Max Headroom (or whatever) on my PC. Also it would allow full text search of the dialogue of things on video tape. For example, suppose that Monty Python is closed-captioned (I don't think it really is). You could search for "this bird is dead." The computer could tell you to that this line is from the show #5, 22:15 minutes into the show.
