I've got a technics (matsushita) rs228x (or some such) tape deck, and it doesn't get up to speed. My sister tried to get it fixed for me, but the moron claimed that there was nothing wrong with it, that the problem was my tapes. So he duly charged her $17 for a service manual that isn't even for that deck. So I look in said manual, and it talks about a wonderful tape motor speed adjustment, but I can't find any in my deck. The drive motor is what appears to be a Matsushita MMI-6A2LKPA DC12V motor. If anyone can give me suggestions, I would be most obliged (i don't read sci.electronics, so please email) anthony a datri carnegie mellon univer$ity
